I have upgraded to VS 2019 but I am worried that if I need to go back to VS 2017 then I might not be able to downgrade my code?
I looked on google but no solution has been found.
I like to know whether it would be possible.
You don't have to downgrade. Visual Studio 2019 and 2017 run side by side. Installing Visual Studio 2019 installs a new application in a different path. It doesn't upgrade VS 2017, so there's no reason to downgrade.
I'm using VS 2017 and VS 2019 on the same machine for about 6 months now without issues.
Im trying to follow along with code school curriculum but i am unable to find any template for ASP.NET Web Application with my version of visual studio community 2015. My new project dialog looks like thisvisual studio query
but i seem to be missing the whole web selection option. I am currently running windows 8 and this is the about/help for my version of VS:

It seems that your VS 2015 installation miss the Microsoft ASP.NET and Web Tools extension.
When you download Visual Studio Express 2010 it will install as version 10. If you have projects that are version 11 (still Visual Studio Express 2010) then they will not load. How do you upgrade from version 10 to 11?
I have tried to upgrade with the program itself, but it takes me to a defunct Microsoft link.
P.S. The link to the ISO of Visual Studio Express 2010 is dead: http://www.microsoft.com/visualstudio/en-us/products/2010-editions/express-iso. However where it links to is not: http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9709969. Use the last link to download it.
I figured it out. Visual Studio Express 2010 is version 10 and installing XNA 4.0 upgrades it to version 11 (specifically the projects created will be version 11 and Visual Studio will remain version 10). It now loads my version 11 projects!
How I can get the C# interactive window? I have Visual Studio 2015 CTP 6 installed.
And I installed Roslyn, according to these instructions.
According to blog post Using the C# Interactive Window that comes with Roslyn, now I should see C# interactive at
View -> Other Windows -> C# Interactive Window
but it's absent.
Did I miss something?
Now you can have C# interactive in VS 2015!! After waiting it for 3 years!
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/visualstudio/archive/2015/10/08/visual-studio-2015-update-1-ctp.aspx
Wish you happy interactive coding!
Update (Nov 2016): It appears that the C# Interactive tool window has been reintroduced. I am using VS 2015 Update 3, which has it; but it has possibly been reintroduced with VS 2015 Update 1 already.
You missed the fact that the blog articles you link to were posted back in 2011, where VS 2015 was not even on the horizon yet. These articles applied to VS 2010 and (I assume) a very early version of Roslyn.
By the way, CTPs are preview versions of a product. As long as a Microsoft product is in the CTP stage, it is subject to the possibility of rapid and even short-term feature changes. So even if these articles did apply to VS 2015, they would have to be about the exact same version of the product that you are using; otherwise you would have no guarantee that they contained up-to-date information.

C# REPL feature request for VS 2015 on Microsoft's Visual Studio User Voice site
It appears the C# Interactive window worked for VS 2010 and VS 2012, but was no longer supported in some later versions of VS.
Visual Studio 2015 Update 1 was released, so the Visual Studio interactive window is back for C#.
UPDATE:
Visual Studio 2015 Update 2 has released recently.
According to the talks at Microsoft Build Conference 2015, C# interactive won't be shipped with VS 2015 RTM - But the code is available on GitHub which you can pull, build and install it yourself.
Yes, it is possible now.
In Visual Studio 2015, just go to View, Other Windows, Interactive C# and have fun.
Also, you can check the blog post Interactive C#.
It's available in Visual Studio 2015 update 2.
I was wondering if it was possible to build (in release) a 2013 visual studio solution file within Visual Studio 2010.
Search engine is coming up with 2010 to 2013 related issues.
Thanks
First, you will probable need SP1 for Visual Studio 2010. Even then you need to refer to the Visual Studio 2013 compatibility page to determine if the scenario you are looking for is supported. It will depend on the exact type of project you are building, the version of framework you are using, templates you are using, etc.
