I am working on an application for Motorola MC92NO. When I run the application, it works up until when you click on something that involves using the Barcode function. When you click on something that uses barcode functions, I get the following error message:
Error
An unexpected error has occurred in InventoryTracking.exe.
Select quit and then restart this program, or select details for more information.
File or Assembly name 'Symbol.Barcode2, Version = 2.9.0.0, Culture = neutral, PublicKeyToken = 6asdasdasfasdfasdf', or one of its dependencies, was not found.
When I select details, I get
TypeLoadException
And the same message as earlier.
I am very new to this and have been stumped about this issue.
It is important to note that, this device I am using is an IT test device and has been played around with a lot. For instance, I had a SQLServerException issue before this and that was because this device was missing some SQL .cab files. I got the .cab files from my boss and installed SQL Server and that problem is gone now.
So, do you guys think I am probably missing the barcode program as well? When I press the trigger, I see the laser beam. So I don't know.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
Ensure that you copy the Symbol.Xxx libraries to your device, in the folder the application is installed.
These libraries are needed to translate .NET requests to the native barcode libraries.

I'm trying to build and run the Hello World sample at the tutorial page at R.NET. When I force the program to run in x86 mode, it seems to do OK. However, when I run in x64, it stops very early on with the message, "[program] exited with code-1073740791"
I've installed the latest version of R at The R Project and have ran the troubleshooting steps. The output I've gotten from the troubleshooting program is:
Is this process 64 bits? True
Info: caller provided rPath=null, rHome=null Info: R.NET looked for preset R_HOME env. var. Found null
Info: Found Windows registry key RDotNet.NativeLibrary.WindowsRegistryKey

C:...\bin\x64\Debug\net5.0\ConsoleNet5R.exe

I have verified that there IS a file R.dll where it deduced it should be, "C:\Program Files\R\R-4.0.3\bin\x64". When I step through using my decompiler, it appears that it gets choked up at what is showing up for me as line 400 in REngine.cs, under the function "Initialize" at this.GetFunction<setup_Rmainloop>()(); It doesn't appear to throw an exception, it just stops. I'll be honest--I'm not sure what this line is supposed to be doing...
Any ideas what is going on? I can run in x86 mode if I have to, but I would like to use x64 if possible.
This issue has been reported for a while..
I experienced the same with R-4.0.3 to R-4.0.5.
There is not such issue for R-4.0.2 and former versions (4.0.1, 4.0.0, 3.6, 3.5)
I've done an analysis of this and tracked findings in one of the RDotNet GitHub issues where this was raised (https://github.com/rdotnet/rdotnet/issues/139#issuecomment-898699993).
This appears to be related to the Control Flow Guard security feature enabled in Windows 10. This doesn't happen in the R programs themselves because they are compiled using a different compiler (gcc via mingw) than Microsoft's. However, the CFG feature is enabled for .NET binaries and there is something (sorry, I don't know the actual underlying root cause) in a change within R 4.0.3 in setjmp/longjmp calls that is causing the crash (see: https://github.com/wch/r-source/blob/trunk/src/gnuwin32/fixed/h/psignal.h#L44-L51).
Although you would actually be disabling a security feature, I have had some luck for now in modifying my program after it is compiled (you can set this as a post-build event). You will need to run something like: link /EDIT /GUARD:NO <yourapp>.exe, which disables CFG.
Thanks to https://github.com/dotnet/runtime/issues/11899#issuecomment-502195325 for providing the instructions needed for this workaround, and https://www.trendmicro.com/en_us/research/16/j/control-flow-guard-improvements-windows-10-anniversary-update.html for providing the amazing analysis of CFG that led to an understanding of what was going on.
I want to know which application installed this wpcap.dll. I can see it in some PCs in location c:\Windows\System32\Npcap and in others in c:\Windows\System32.
When I run my code (which has DllImport("wpcap.dll") ) in the first PC, this exception is thrown whereas it is not thrown in second PC.
Also, when I manually add the dll to first PC also, the same exception is thrown. Can someone help me with this?
I want to know which application installed this wpcap.dll
Google Said it is WinPcap
https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pcap
You can try this:
run cmd and execute command:
regsvr32 wpcap.dll
I have now had an error with VS2013 and WP8.1 silverlight for a couple of days.
I get a couple of different errors, ..Ensure unlocked screen.., AgHost.exe could not be launched, port is in use by another program and ensure the device is unlocked.
These errors came suddenly after I retarged the solution. I have no compiling errors.
Solution Attempts
Restart PC
Restart program
unregister and reregister the phone
reinstall Update 3
reinstall VS2013
Windows Phone 8 Application crash once its launched AgHost.exe' has exited with code -532265403
Install VS2015 with no luck.
reinstall VS2013 Update 4
Nothing worked. The error is also the same for emulator as well as different devices. I can however get the release mode installed. Break points can be used when using release mode, but I have to Clean, Rebuild and then deploy for every time I want to deploy the application. Further the deploy time has gone up exponentially. Before upgrading I used a maximum of 10 seconds. Now it is above a minute in wait time. :/
Anyone has a solution for this ?
Extra
If I run the solution before upgrade on device or Emulator It spins up with debugger. If then go to the updated WP81, I get a popup with info Something is taking longer then normal and then it crashes with ..Ensure unlocked screen.. :/
Could it be an issue with the differen SDKS?
During a repair of all the SDKs, I found an issue with the event log, which I cleared based on The Event Log File is full
Still no success.

I cannot spin up the emulator from VS2013, when using the WP8.1 solution, but the wp8.0 solution in the same VS works :S

Anybody knows what to do with this? The error is coming when I repair Windows Phone SDK 8.0
There was a post-VS2013 update for the Windows Phone 8.1 SDK, some odds that you don't have it installed since you did not need it before. The download location is here.
Getting error messages like "port is in use" when there's no obvious reason why it should be in use and seeing excessive download times is also a very strong selector for your installed anti-malware product getting in the way. No specific advice on how to configure it when we don't know what it might be. You definitely first want to try to temporarily disable it so you can identify it as the source of the problem.
I have no Idea of what is the issue, but creating a new solution and importing the existing projects into a new solution has solved all the issues regarding emulator and debugger an AgHost.
Seems like the upgrade function integrated in the solution did not work properly.
I'm getting the below error when I try to run the app certification test on my windows 8.1 app. I've looked around for a while and can't seem to find any solutions for this. The app is written in C#/xaml which I wasn't aware even had a linker.
I'm hoping that someone can guide me in the right direction on how I should start to investigate an error like this as web searches have thus far failed me
Binary analyzer
•Error Found: The binary analyzer test detected the following errors:
◦File [MyTabletApplication.exe] has failed the AppContainerCheck check.
•Impact if not fixed: If the app doesn’t use the available Windows protections, it can increase the vulnerability of the customer's computer to malware.
•How to fix: Apply the required linker options - SAFESEH, DYNAMICBASE, NXCOMPAT, and APPCONTAINER - when you link the app. See links below for more information:
If you are using Visual Studio 2015 and this is a new solution/project make sure the 'Compile with .NET Native tool chain' check box is cleared in the startup project properties in the Release configuration.
I am a .Net developer. New to OPC. When I tried some samples of OPC Client all of them give this error. It seems the DLL is not registered it seems. But I don't know how and where to register this.
error: retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID failed due to the following error: 80040154
Even I tried this
regsvr32 Interop.OPCAutomation.dll",
but it also throws error like
The module "Interop.OPCAutomation.dll" was loaded but the entry-point DllRegisterServeer was not found.
Make sure that "Interop.OPCAutomation.dll" is a valid DLL or OCX file and then try again.
I have gone through so many existing forums. So many of them said to change the Platform Target to x86 and still I am having the same issue. FYI, I can see only see 'Active (Any CPU)' in the Platform option from the top of the Build tab of Project Properties.
Here are my environment details:
.Net 2005
OPCAutomation Weapper
Windows 7 64-bit OS
Dell Inspiron 1525 (I hope this is not a 64bit machine, but my engineer installed 64bit OS somehow).
Please help me.
Thanks in advance!
Just in case somebody is dealing with this problem (as I've recently been...) I get through it! After some time, I found out that it's something about the .NET framework running on 64-bit machines. As long as the.NET application works only with 32-bit CLR, we must set .NET framework to load CLR in WOW mode. To do so, type:
C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\Ldr64.exe SetWow
After this you should be able to run the applications.
You can go back and revert .NET Framework as it was before by typing:
C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\Ldr64.exe Set64
If the OPC Client Toolkit SDK (C++) is used, a problem with the remote registry service may cause this error as well.
On Windows 7, by default the Remote Registry service is set to manual and not started. Ensure that the Remote Registry service is started on all of the machines you want to deploy to. This can be done manually or using Group Policy.
The function GetCLSIDFromRemoteRegistry() uses the RemoteRegistryService in order to get the CLSID of an OPC Server. If this service is not started on the client machine, the OPC program may return the error 80040154.
The error you're getting is more than likely due to the OPC server not being properly registered. Make sure it is registered (usually by running it at the command line with a "/regserver" or "/service" parameter). There may also be security issues in which case you'd have to run 'dcomcnfg' (DCOM Config) to make sure the client has access to the server.
This question is a bit dated so I hope you figured it out by now, but I had the same exact issue and wanted to share my solution. In my case, I am using a Kepware server. If you compile and try to run a client application for this server using Interop.OPCAutomation on a machine that does not have the server installed, you will get a dll not registered error and "entry point not found" if you try to register the dll manually.
Solution: Make sure you've got the server installed and running.
Although this is an old post, I would like to share my solution.
My problem was that when I tried to install an application with the OPCAutomation.dll, it gave me 80040154 error because the class was not registered.
This is my solution, always with Administrator privileges:
Copy OPCDAAuto.dll into the "C:\Windows\System32" folder
On the cmd prompt type "C:\Windows\System32\regsvr32 opcdaauto.dll"
You should watch a message like this one:

Hope this helps!
The OPC dll only works in 32 Bits, my solution was to change the "Enable 32-Bit Applications" to True in the advanced settings of the relative app pool in IIS.
