I want to generate a crystal report in visual studio 2010 in WPF application.

I have tried but it does not works ..
please provide me the code ?
Crystal Report now doesn't comes with Visual Studio. You have to download it separately. Follow this link: http://www.businessobjects.com/jump/xi/crvs2010/default.asp .
Once you install the CR2010. You will be able to add crystal report pages (.rpt) in your project using VS 2010.
I don't think Crystal Reports are provided by default any more in VS2010, you have to download and install them separately.

I am doing maintenance on a winforms project, VS2013 framework 4.5
Now I got to a point where some reports need to be build, but I cannot find the report generator that comes with visual studio.
So, this might be a stupid question, but where is the report generator from visual studio ?
Its been some years since I worked with a microsoft programming tool but I believe that something called crystal reports was delivered with older versions of visual studio. What is the report generator that is delivered with visual studio these days and where to find it ?
You can still use the ReportViewer that comes with Visual Studio to view reports. You can simply draw that control on your Form.
For the creation of reports, you can add a new Report item to your project, which works inside the visual designer of Visual Studio. This will create a .rdlc file.
Crystal Reports doesn't have a bundle agreement with Microsoft any more, so they can't be found pre-installed any more. You can still download it though.
Hello I am trying to create a website in VS 2013 and trying to add a report (.RDL) in the project. But when I do Add New Item, I am not able to see any report or report wizard in the dialog.
I did installed SSDT Tools for SSRS as well but still I didn't got any report template/editor in the visual studio 2013. Previously I was using vs 2012 and later when I installed vs 2013 I was able to get the report template in the VS 2013 but when I formatted my PC, I just installed 2013 but no option for reports or report viewer in the tool box.
Can anyone please guide me to get the template back ?
After looking at your list of installed templates, I think you got the wrong version of SSDT, since you have options for SQL Server templates, but not Business Intelligence. There are two very distinct versions of SSDT: SSDT for regular database tooling, and SSDT-BI (contains templates for SSAS, SSRS, SSIS projects).
Please follow this link and download SSDT-BI for 2013:

This should install the desired templates.
I want to show Crystal Reports from a previously generated Crystal Report templates templatename.rpt file.
I have also used it in MVC4 currently. But there are more requirement of Client for this Crystal Report that should be
Having Charts in Report with DrillDown.
Able to Download Report in different formats(.pdf,word,etc.)
[Currently I am just giving option to download in PDF format].
I have looked through multiple examples & have done multiple searches for this found the solution in MVC3 with Visual Studio 2010. But that is not working perfectly in Visual Studio 2013 + MVC4
I could not find the Crystal Reports template in Visual Studio 2008 to create a Crystal Report.
So, after googling I found out that while installing I should have enabled the Crystal Report basic option. I did that also, but I could not find the Crystal Reports template while adding a new item, whereas in ToolBox under Reporting tab, it displays CrystalReportViewer and CrystalReportDocument controls.
What is the difference between adding a CrystalReport template or adding a CrystalReportViewer? Are CrystalReportDocument controls on a form working the same?
I am new to the Crystal Reports concept and usage. Can you please help me make the Crystal Reports template appear while adding new items in project.
The Visual Studio version is 2008 Professional Edition.
There seems to be some help in this blog post - especially in the comments.
I am developing c# application using visual studio 2010.. Now i want to use crystal report in my project but I am using Visual studio 2010 first time.. So when I add crystal report in project then it creates .mht file and ask me to download SAP crystal reports..
http://www.businessobjects.com/jump/xi/crvs2010/us2_default.asp
Several downloading options as shown in above link.. I have tried by downloading several setups which includes
1.SAP Crystal Reports, version for Visual Studio 2010 - Click Once
2.SAP Crystal Reports, version for Visual Studio 2010 - Click Once (32 Bit)
But after installation of this still no effect in visual studio and still asking me for download..
One more thing I want mention that my system is of 32 bit thats why i cant go for 64b bit..
I think this is the same question as here:
Use Crystal Reports 2011 in Visual Studio 2010
Finally I found the solutions..
By downloading the product
1)SAP Crystal Reports, version for Visual Studio 2010 - Standard
As this works fine and integrated successfully with visual studio 2010 IDE..
