Build error in Visual C# - c#

In Visual C# Express, when I try to Build Solution, I get the following message:
"The command "copy C:\Program Files.....\vaultforms.dll C:\Documents and Settings\All Users \Application Data......\Vault2012\Extensions\"" exited with code 9009.
(I have only shown part of the paths here but it should be enough to explain the issue)
How can I avoid this error?

Check out some other "Exited with Code 9009" errors?
What does "exited with code 9009" mean during this build?

Check Path in Environment variable, some basics path information may be missing like visual studio installed path.

File permissions exception for Visual Studio Mac

I run Visual Studio on Mac for developing .NET Core. I have problems with file permissions.
When I for example use FluentFTP to download a file:
client.DownloadFile("/Users/max/temp/download_folder", "remote/path");
I get the following error:
Access to the path '/Users/max/temp/download_folder' is denied.
Note that I've also got this error using Path and Directory.
I've confirmed that the paths are OK. I've tested to set chmod 777 /Users/max/temp/. I've also tried to place the file at /var/tmp/, where full file access is default.
I get the feeling that Visual Studio is not run with sufficient permissions. In this thread a similar problem for Visual Studio Code is solved by setting sudo chown -R $(whoami) /Users/$(whoami)/.vscode, but I can't find any dotfiles for Visual Studio.
The problem was that I passed a directory path, while the method wanted a file name path. The exception message could've been more informative. Hope that this answer can help someone in the future.

SonarQube analysis could not be completed because the analysis configuration file could not be found

SonarQube is giving me below error when i integrate the xamarin app with jenkins on windows sever
SonarQube Scanner for MSBuild 3.0
Default properties file was found at C:\SonarQube\bin\SonarQube.Analysis.xml
Loading analysis properties from C:\SonarQube\bin\SonarQube.Analysis.xml

I have followed the below guide https://docs.sonarqube.org/display/SCAN/Analyzing+with+SonarQube+Scanner+for+MSBuild
SonarQube.Scanner.MSBuild.exe begin /k:"org.sonarqube:sonarqube-scanner-msbuild" /n:"Project Name" /v:"1.0"
MSBuild.exe /t:Rebuild
SonarQube.Scanner.MSBuild.exe end
Please help me to resolve this issue
The errors reported at the end of a SonarQube report are sometimes less helpful than the errors when you begin.
Eg when I got this error, scrolling to the top of the log showed that I wasn't correctly setting the sonar.projectKey value, but this message the OP shared is still what showed up at the end.
I had the same problem. You need find correct MSBuild.exe.
I have several in c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\... and also in c:\Program Files (x86)
For my project in Visual Studio 2017 with .NETFramework,Version=v4.6.1 the correct MSBuild.exe is:
"c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2017\Community\MSBuild\15.0\Bin\amd64\MSBuild.exe" /t:Rebuild
For the Enterpsie version is should be:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2017\Enterprise\MSBuild" /t:Rebuild
I got the same error and was able to fix it by excluding "/t:Rebuild" from second step. Also used the VS2017 MSBuild.exe
These are the 3 commands I ran in Windows Command Prompt (CMD):
1>> SonarScanner.MSBuild.exe begin /k:"MyProjectName"
2>> "C:/Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Visual Studio/2017/Enterprise/MSBuild/15.0/Bin/MSBuild.exe" "MySolution.sln"
3>> SonarScanner.MSBuild.exe end
Update I confront this error also , my solution was easy I just build the project in the visual studio then its succeeded.
I had this problem because I used a bad project key (it had a }) inside. I removed the }and the problem was gone.

exclude project from solution when running sonar-runner

I have installed and configured SonarQube 3.7.1 and sonar-runner 2.3.
While trying to run sonar-runner on a c# solution I got the error:
ERROR: Error during Sonar runner execution
ERROR: Unable to execute Sonar
ERROR: Caused by: Error occured while reading Visual Studio files.
ERROR: Caused by: Error while processing the project C:\root\MPS\MPA\Main\Source\MPA.Build\MPA.Build.csproj : assemblyName not defined
My sonar-project.properties looks like
sonar.projectKey=CompanyName:MPA.Android
sonar.projectName=MPA
sonar.projectVersion=1.0
sonar.sources=.
sonar.language=cs
sonar.sourceEncoding=UTF-8
\#sonar.dotnet.key.generation.strategy=safe
sonar.dotnet.visualstudio.solution.file=MPA.sln
sonar.skippedModules=MPA.Build
I would like to exclude the project MPA.Build. But it's not working.
In the MPA.sln file the MPA.Build project is defined as
Project("{FAE04EC0-301F-11D3-BF4B-00C04F79EFBC}") = "MPA.Build", "MPA.Build\MPA.Build.csproj", "{A8B400F6-A5C5-4843-96CA-92B25A2E6483}"
EndProject
Anyone knows how to solve this error?
when running sonar-runner -X the output is:

"assemblyName not defined" => You just have to fix the MPA.Build.csproj file that is not correct because tag "AssemblyName" is missing. See https://github.com/SonarSource/sonar-examples/blob/master/projects/languages/csharp/Example.Core/Example.Core.csproj for example.
The properties file syntax you have appears to be correct. When you run sonar-runner, you should see lines like this close to the beginning of the run:
INFO - Apply project exclusions
INFO - Exclude project: MPA.Build [SomePrefix:MPA.Build]
If you don't, I would suggest running sonar-runner with the -X argument, which will print debug statements to the console. (You'll likely want to redirect/capture the console to a log file.) This may present some additional information that could help understand why it's not seeing your exclusion.
Also, in the SonarQube web UI, while looking at the project, click the "Components" link in the left-hand navigation bar. This will list the "models" for the solution. Double-check that the name showing in this view matches MBA.Build.
I face the same issu today with sonarqube 5.0.
I tried the "sonar.skippedModules" but this is deprecated now.
Instead, you have to use the following expression provided by the visual studio bootstraper :
sonar.visualstudio.skippedProjectPattern =

How to Interfacing SWI Prolog to the Visual Studio 2012

I have a program that interfacing SWI-Prolog in Visual Studio. Previously, I used VS2010 (XP) and everything works fine. Then I upgrade my VS to become VS2012 (Win7) and now I have a problem in my code.
When it comes to the following code:
PlEngine.Initialize(param);
it always gives me the following exception message:
The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)
Can anybody spot what mistake that I made or if possible some modification that I have to do, due to the upgrading process?
Additional information regarding my code:
I used the most updated swiPLCs library (version: 1.1.60301.0)
my 'param' in my code above is: string[] param = { "-q", "-f", #"c:\program files (x86)\pl\"};
I have set the path environment variable to: c:\program files (x86)\pl\ and c:\program files (x86)\pl\bin
I have this setting in my code: Environment.SetEnvironmentVariable("SWI_HOME_DIR", Global.g_prologLocation);
I had the reference to: swiPLcs.dll
I already tried to use the SWIProlog 64 bit, but I still have the same problem
Any help is really appreciated.
Many thanks
I finally got the answer myself.
Unlike VS2010, In VS2012 it seems that you have to add SWI-Prolog package into VS2012.
So add SWI.Prolog package using Nuget.
How?
See: https://nuget.org/packages/SWI.Prolog
And VS2012 will recognize the SWI.Prolog now.
Thanks anyway

PipelineSegments.store Build Error with VSTO and Visual Studio 2008

I've created an empty VSTO solution with an Excel 2007 Project. When I build the solution I get this error:
Error 1 An error occurred while
attempting to persist the data. The
message returned is: Could not find
the add-in deployment cache file,
"C:\Program Files\Common
Files\Microsoft
Shared\VSTA\Pipeline\PipelineSegments.store".
Please run AddInStore.Update or
Rebuild (or run AddInUtil.exe on the
command line). Also, ensure your code
has permission to read this file.
I've googled to no avail. Any ideas?
Thanks
Following these steps fixed it:
