amazon product advertising API Update issues - c#

I'm trying to get into the Amazon advertizing API to use with one of my apps. I heard recently that there were changes and needed an AssociateTag (broughtin from the affiliate program)
After using samples from this link
http://aws.amazon.com/code/2480?_encoding=UTF8&queryArg=searchQuery&x=0&fromSearch=1&y=0&searchPath=code&searchQuery=Advertising
and
http://flyingpies.wordpress.com/2009/08/13/signing-amazon-product-advertising-api-cwcf-part-2/
I can't seem to use those samples anymore. after some digging online I found that I was supposed to add an AssociateTag to the itemSource request variable, but I created a dummy login to facilitate that andthe output is pretty much the same. can anyone help me with this?

I had the exact same issue as I based my application on the flyingpies.wordpress example and couldn't get it to work by adding in the Associate Tag Id and the latest web service>
I downloaded this example:
http://aws.amazon.com/code/Product-Advertising-API/2481
And made some small changes and got it all working...
The main one changing the namespace to:
http://webservices.amazon.com/AWSECommerceService/2011-08-01
Throughout all the code......
I think I may have updated the code in a couple of other places and can help you if these errors occur..

Yammer Oauth/application confusion

I need to just search Yammer for a various string on the timeline and facing a few weird issues.
Using Nuget, I got the yammer.simpleapi package (Found the bug everyone was talking about and changed it from GET to POST) and I created an App on Yammer, but, this is where the fun starts.
I have a local page http://localhost/home/yammer which redirects to Oauth and then redirects to my app with the key and I retrieve basic user settings.
Now, this is where I get confused - I see if I refresh this page, I just get a blank response (I guess that the code is only good for one query?), but if I refresh the http://localhost/home/yammer - I sometimes get the correct response and sometimes I get nothing.
This is best shown in a recording I did - https://youtu.be/RqrAGiP7Rh4
This is really annoying me and I was wondering if anyone knows what is going on?
I would post code examples, but, there hasn't really been anything modified from the original yammer.simpleapi other than the keys.
The web example app is just working one time.
If you want to replay your page, you should save your YammerClient somewhere (or declare it in static)

How to update content via Google Sites API?

My apologies if this has already been requested/answered before, but I'm having a hard time trying to find information on the web about this. I've been tasked to find a way to directly update the content of a Google Sites page (Such as a text box or image) using the API.
I've been looking about the web for examples of doing this using C#, and have not found much to go by. I have some experience with writing/calling REST and SOAP APIs, but I can't seem to work out what Google uses for its API.
I'm struggling as to how I approach this, as the few examples I have found don't really walk through the code, so they leave me little to understand in order to manipulate it to what I want to achieve. One site I did find was Sites API Demo
Does anybody have any examples, or able to provide a simple example of updating content on a Google Site?
I appreciate any help you can give.
Mark
I realise this is an old question, but I have successfully updated the content of a google sites page using the library provided here, and following the example in the wiki.
I compiled the source as a .dll and added it as a reference to my project.

Access to Facebook?

As a little learning project, I'd like to make a little app that reads data from a facebook users status updates. It's been done millions of times before, I'm sure, but is there an API or something? Would I need to signup for some Facebook developers license or anything, or is it as easy as finding the API, and then simply coding to it?
I'd like to simply get friends Status Updates via my login... seems easy enough. :)
The Facebook Developer links posted above are good, but it might be useful to look at some examples.
The Facebook C# SDK, found here: http://facebooksdk.codeplex.com/, has samples in ASP.NET MVC. It's a pretty simple project, so it should be relatively easy to see how things work in practice.
You can create an app at http://developers.facebook.com/
Then, download the sample project, replace the AppId and AppSecret with values from your registered app, and see how it works.
You can start reading here: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/
And look in the forum discussions here: http://forum.developers.facebook.net/index.php
This post was helpful to me http://gathadams.com/2007/06/18/how-to-write-a-facebook-application-in-10-minutes/
Also keep in mind this last change made for FB team about Post for canvas http://developers.facebook.com/docs/canvas/post/
Good luck!

XMLParseException when searching with tmdb c# api

I am trying to access movie info using themoviedb API as imdb seems like a lost cause.
They use a key which I replaced with *'s but from what I can see this should be all I need to do a simple search
so my code is very simple
TmdbAPI api = new TmdbAPI("***************************");
TmdbMovie[] movies = api.MovieSearch(batman);
But whenever I search I get the XMLParseException unless I outcomment the second line
There is a sample application, but I cant get it to run with VS2010 and I cant see how its doing the things any differently except that app reads the name of the movie from a textbox as mine will further down the road.
Looking at the issue tracker, there appears to be a problem with the returned XML since December 1st 2010 (if not earlier).

jQuery AutoComplete missing?

I was building something using jQuery's AutoComplete plugin last week, but today I found that it's not working.
After some debugging, it seems that the external scripts I've been loading no longer exist:
http://dev.jquery.com/view/trunk/plugins/autocomplete/lib/jquery.bgiframe.min.js
http://dev.jquery.com/view/trunk/plugins/autocomplete/lib/jquery.dimensions.js
http://dev.jquery.com/view/trunk/plugins/autocomplete/jquery.autocomplete.js
Even the demo on the plugin page no longer works:
http://docs.jquery.com/Plugins/autocomplete
Was the plugin deprecated over the weekend and I didn't know it? Or is there some way to let them know that the files aren't showing up?
Here's a link to the static delivery on the google CDN:
http://code.google.com/apis/libraries/
I'm not sure they do the plugins, but you can get the main library this way.
Here are some quick links to get your missing scripts:
http://docs.jquery.com/Plugins/bgiframe
http://plugins.jquery.com/project/dimensions
http://docs.jquery.com/Plugins/autocomplete
Like #Paddy said in the comments above, I would HIGHLY recommend pulling these down into your project and creating local references to each instead of relying on the FQDN of the scripts on another host to remain unchanged forever.
UPDATE:
Note that I myself have noticed some downloads going missing recently on jquery.com, so you may have trouble finding the downloads. If so, I would recommend checking if google's cache has a hard link to them - I've been able to find a couple this way.
