How tosave Image in DataBase Using JSON WebService WP7 - c#

I want to save Image in Database with JSON web service .without image data save.
But when send image byte It is not save. How to send or Recive Image with JSon webservie in window phone-7
My Webservice:
[WebMethod]
[ScriptMethod(ResponseFormat = ResponseFormat.Json)]
public string Register(string emailID, string pwd, string name, string img)
{
ProfileDL _client = new ProfileDL();
_client.Email = emailID;
_client.Password = pwd;
img = img.Replace(' ', '+');
_client.Firstname = name;
_client.Img = Convert.FromBase64String(img);
_client.saveData();
return "Y";
}
WP7 Code:-
//Convert Image to byte code
private void photoChooserTask_Completed(object sender, PhotoResult e)
{
imageBytes = new byte[e.ChosenPhoto.Length];
e.ChosenPhoto.Read(imageBytes, 0, imageBytes.Length);
}
void GetRequestStreamCallbackx(IAsyncResult asynchronousResult)
{
HttpWebRequest webRequest = (HttpWebRequest)asynchronousResult.AsyncState;
// End the stream request operation
Stream postStream = webRequest.EndGetRequestStream(asynchronousResult);
string img = string.Empty;
try
{
img = Convert.ToBase64String(imageBytes);
}
catch { }
// Create the post data
// string postData = "";
var json="";
Dispatcher.BeginInvoke(() => json = "{\"emailID\": " + txtemail.Text.Trim() + ",\"pwd\": " + txtpassword.Text + ",\"name\":" + txtname.Text + ",\"img\": " + img + "}");
byte[] byteArray = Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(json);
// Add the post data to the web request
try
{
postStream.Write(byteArray, 0, byteArray.Length);
}
catch { }
postStream.Close();
// Start the web request
webRequest.BeginGetResponse(new AsyncCallback(GetResponseCallback), webRequest);
}
there is any thing wrong in my code. Please Help...

Let me guess: an empty request is being made?
If you just use Dispatcher.BeginInvoke() to set the json variable, it probably will be set after the Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(json) call!
Try it like this:
void GetRequestStreamCallbackx(IAsyncResult asynchronousResult)
{
HttpWebRequest webRequest = (HttpWebRequest)asynchronousResult.AsyncState;
// End the stream request operation
Stream postStream = webRequest.EndGetRequestStream(asynchronousResult);
string img = string.Empty;
try
{
img = Convert.ToBase64String(imageBytes);
}
catch { }
// Create the post data
// string postData = "";
var json = "";
Dispatcher.BeginInvoke(() =>
{
json = "{\"emailID\": " + txtemail.Text.Trim() + ",\"pwd\": " + txtpassword.Text + ",\"name\":" + txtname.Text + ",\"img\": " + img + "}";
byte[] byteArray = Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(json);
// Add the post data to the web request
try
{
postStream.Write(byteArray, 0, byteArray.Length);
}
catch { }
postStream.Close();
// Start the web request
webRequest.BeginGetResponse(new AsyncCallback(GetResponseCallback), webRequest);
});
}

AWS API Gateway Signature

I am trying to sign my requests to the amazon gateway. But every time when I try to send a POST request it tells me that my signature has been expired. Any ideas will be appreciated.
You have some problem with getting the time or something like that. I had the problem with the payload. So if you are making GET request your payload is an EMPTY STRING. Otherwise it should be hashed Json object. Here is example of how I do it in my application. The code can be raw, but I am 100000% it work, because I am using it every day.
const string RegionName = "eu-west-1"; //This is the regionName
const string ServiceName = "apigateway";
const string Algorithm = "AWS4-HMAC-SHA256";
const string ContentType = "application/json";
const string Host = "apigateway.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com";
const string SignedHeaders = "content-type;host;x-amz-date";
public static WebRequest RequestGet(string canonicalUri, string canonicalQueriString, string jsonString) {
string hashedRequestPayload = CreateRequestPayload("");
string authorization = Sign(hashedRequestPayload, "GET", canonicalUri, canonicalQueriString);
string requestDate = DateTime.UtcNow.ToString("yyyyMMddTHHmmss") + "Z";
WebRequest webRequest = WebRequest.Create("https://" + Host + canonicalUri);
webRequest.Method = "GET";
webRequest.ContentType = ContentType;
webRequest.Headers.Add("X-Amz-date", requestDate);
webRequest.Headers.Add("Authorization", authorization);
webRequest.Headers.Add("x-amz-content-sha256", hashedRequestPayload);
return webRequest;
}
public static WebRequest RequestPost(string canonicalUri, string canonicalQueriString, string jsonString)
{
string hashedRequestPayload = CreateRequestPayload(jsonString);
string authorization = Sign(hashedRequestPayload, "POST", canonicalUri, canonicalQueriString);
string requestDate = DateTime.UtcNow.ToString("yyyyMMddTHHmmss") + "Z";
WebRequest webRequest = WebRequest.Create("https://" + Host + canonicalUri);
webRequest.Timeout = 20000;
webRequest.Method = "POST";
webRequest.ContentType = ContentType;
webRequest.Headers.Add("X-Amz-date", requestDate);
webRequest.Headers.Add("Authorization", authorization);
webRequest.Headers.Add("x-amz-content-sha256", hashedRequestPayload);
webRequest.ContentLength = jsonString.Length;
ASCIIEncoding encoding = new ASCIIEncoding();
byte[] data = encoding.GetBytes(jsonString);
Stream newStream = webRequest.GetRequestStream();
newStream.Write(data, 0, data.Length);
return webRequest;
}
private static string CreateRequestPayload(string jsonString) {
//Here should be JSON object of the model we are sending with POST request
//var jsonToSerialize = new { Data = String.Empty };
//We parse empty string to the serializer if we are makeing GET request
//string requestPayload = new JavaScriptSerializer().Serialize(jsonToSerialize);
string hashedRequestPayload = HexEncode(Hash(ToBytes(jsonString)));
return hashedRequestPayload;
}

// Task 3: Calculate the AWS Signature Version 4
byte[] signingKey = GetSignatureKey(secretKey, dateStamp, RegionName, ServiceName);
string signature = HexEncode(HmacSha256(stringToSign, signingKey));
// Task 4: Prepare a signed request
// Authorization: algorithm Credential=access key ID/credential scope, SignedHeadaers=SignedHeaders, Signature=signature
string authorization = string.Format("{0} Credential={1}/{2}/{3}/{4}/aws4_request, SignedHeaders={5}, Signature={6}",

byte[] kRegion = HmacSha256(regionName, kDate);
byte[] kService = HmacSha256(serviceName, kRegion);
return HmacSha256("aws4_request", kService);
}
private static byte[] ToBytes(string str) {
return Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(str.ToCharArray());
}
private static string HexEncode(byte[] bytes) {
return BitConverter.ToString(bytes).Replace("-", string.Empty).ToLowerInvariant();
}
private static byte[] Hash(byte[] bytes) {
return SHA256.Create().ComputeHash(bytes);

private static byte[] HmacSha256(string data, byte[] key) {

}
So for example if I want to get all the APIs that are deployed in the Gateway I am doing like this:
using(WebResponse response = webRequest.GetResponse()) {
StreamReader responseReader = new StreamReader(response.GetResponseStream());
string responseJson = responseReader.ReadToEnd();
} catch (WebException) {
//Doing something when exception has been thrown
}
Here is the interesting part of creating a API Key. First you need to make your raw payload and then pass it to the methods I gave you above:
string payload = "{ \"name\" : \"" + name + "\", \"description\" : \"" + description.Trim() + "\", \"enabled\" : \"True\", \"stageKeys\" : [ ] }";
WebRequest webRequest = RequestSignerAWS.RequestPost("/apikeys", "", payload);
And make sure you are getting the time of the creating the request, because this will cause you the problem you are having.
You can look or use the code in this project for sending requests to API gateway:
https://github.com/ronenfe/Addons.AwsSdk
It uses this code for the signing:
https://github.com/tsibelman/aws-signer-v4-dot-net .

WebResponse Timeout Error in C#

I am trying to send image using web service. I am converting image first to base64 string and using web request Post method sending to server. Here is my code.
try
{
qry = "Select ProductImage From tbl_Product where ProductOnlineID=0";
dt = db.DataTable(qry);
foreach (DataRow dr in dt.Rows)
{
string fileName = dr["ProductImage"].ToString();
string storeLocation = Application.StartupPath + #"\product_image\";
if (System.IO.File.Exists(storeLocation + fileName))
{
Image image = Image.FromFile(storeLocation + fileName);
MemoryStream m = new MemoryStream();
image.Save(m, image.RawFormat);
byte[] imageBytes = m.ToArray();
string base64String = Convert.ToBase64String(imageBytes);
string url_upload_imag = #"http://Myserver/api/offline/json/1.0/index.php";
string rq = "token=" + apikey + #"&json_data={%22method%22:%22uploadProductImagesLocal%22,%22data%22:[{%22imgName%22:%22" + fileName + "%22,%22imgString%22:%22" + base64String + "%22}]}";
WebRequest request = WebRequest.Create(url_upload_imag);
request.Method = "POST";
request.ContentLength = rq.Length;
byte[] array = new UTF8Encoding().GetBytes(rq);
request.ContentType = "application/x-www-form-urlencoded";
using (Stream str = request.GetRequestStream())
{
str.Write(array, 0, array.Length);
using (WebResponse ws = request.GetResponse())
{
DataContractJsonSerializer jsonSerializer = new DataContractJsonSerializer(typeof(RootObject_Image));
RootObject_Image obj = (RootObject_Image)jsonSerializer.ReadObject(ws.GetResponseStream());
MessageBox.Show("Done" + fileName + obj.data);
}
}
}
}
}
catch (WebException ex)
{
MessageBox.Show("Error in Sending Image:" + ex.ToString(), "Error:", MessageBoxButtons.OK, MessageBoxIcon.Exclamation);
}
My Problem is..When I run the application I get Time out Error..I've tried everything setting timeout to infinite doesn't work for me. My base64 string is also correct.
Web service is created in php. what could be error?? and if there is any error, from which side it could be, PHP or C#?

I could run this in a desktop program using C++ but I couldn't find any class to do it in C# using the same "sctructure". This is the C++ code:
void WebServicesClient::addImages(PW::Project *project){
QString uuid = project->getCloudUUID();
if (uuid.isEmpty()) /// !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
return;
mUploadedImages = 0;
mProject = project;
QNetworkRequest request;
QString serviceURL = mBaseURL+"/service/imagen-project/add";
request.setUrl(QUrl(serviceURL));
// request.setHeader(QNetworkRequest::ContentTypeHeader, "multipart/form-data");
QHttpMultiPart *multiPart = new QHttpMultiPart(QHttpMultiPart::FormDataType);
QHttpPart textPart;
textPart.setHeader(QNetworkRequest::ContentDispositionHeader, QVariant("form-data; name=\"project\""));
textPart.setBody(uuid.toAscii());
QHttpPart imagePart;
imagePart.setHeader(QNetworkRequest::ContentTypeHeader, QVariant("image/png"));
QString fileName = project->getImages().at(0)->getFileName();
QString header = "form-data; name=\"file\"";
header += "; filename=\"" + fileName + "\"";
imagePart.setHeader(QNetworkRequest::ContentDispositionHeader, QVariant(header));
QFile *file = new QFile(project->getImages().at(0)->getFullPath());
file->open(QIODevice::ReadOnly);
imagePart.setBodyDevice(file);
file->setParent(multiPart); // we cannot delete the file now, so delete it with the multiPart
multiPart->append(textPart);
multiPart->append(imagePart);
setAuthorization(request, "service/imagen-project/add", WEBSERVICE_REQUEST_TYPE_POST);
QObject::connect(mNetwork, SIGNAL(finished(QNetworkReply *)),
this, SLOT(onAddImageFinished(QNetworkReply*)));
emit statusChanged(0, "Uploading " + project->getImages().at(0)->getFileName());
QNetworkReply *reply = mNetwork->post(request,multiPart);
}
I hope someone can help me.
Thanks everyone!

Box-api file upload timeout

I have been fighting with this upload problem for a couple of days and searched the forum for a good answer but have not seen it yet. I am using asp.net and I am currently receiving a timeout when I try to post a file to upload. I have taken the MultipartWebRequest class from the V1 C# Api and changed it(i believe to be correctly but it may be my problem) to work with my program.

As you can see I have tried all of the different upload urls that I have found around the site. And with all the different ones, not sure exactly which one to use, but doc appears to be the latest "most" correct one? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated as I am fairly new (but understand) to post requests in C#, but VERY new (never done one) to multipart forms in C# (or really anywhere).
The current recommended URL for the API (including file uploads) appears to now be https://api.box.com/2.0. Have you tried using that base URL?
