Allow user to set hours,minutes and seconds in dateTimePicker object

How to allow user to add hours,minutes and seconds in dateTimePicker object?
Currently, the datetimePicker only have day/month/year... want to add hours,minutes and seconds.

Set the Format Property to "Custom" and the CustomFormat Property to include time
dateTimePicker1.Format = DateTimePickerFormat.Custom;
dateTimePicker1.CustomFormat = "dd-MMM-yy hh:mm:ss";

You can format to Custom and then change the CustomFormat to dd-MMM-yyyy hh : mm : ss tt
datetimePicker.Format = DateTimePickerFormat.Custom;
datetimePicker.CustomFormat = "dd-MMM-yyyy hh : mm : ss tt"

How to convert Date Time string to "Date Month"[5 December] format in c#?

I have date time object with value like "5/12/2014 3:14:55 PM", but i want to show this to page as "5 December", So how can i achieve this?

DateTime picker C# format

I have a DateTime picker to add arrival time to a list, I have 2 questions about it:
How can I get it to show dates like 12-Jan-2012 Instead of 12/01/12?
How can I get it to show the time after the date but not the current time, as thats what is shows atm.
My current code is not very advanced its just:
theVisit.ArrivalTime = DateTimePicker1.Value

Something like this will display the date and time:
DateTimePicker1.Value.ToString("d-MMM-yyyy hh:mm:ss");
To override the default DateTimePicker settings, you can do this:
DateTimePicker1.Format = DateTimePickerFormat.Custom;
DateTimePicker1.CustomFormat = "d-MMM-yyyy hh:mm:ss";
You can show a different time by modifying the format string, e.g.:
DateTimePicker1.CustomFormat = "d-MMM-yyyy 12:00:00";
or even
DateTime otherTime = DateTime.Now;
DateTimePicker1.CustomFormat = "d-MMM-yyyy " + otherTime.ToString("hh:mm:ss");

For it to show in that format in the picker, set the properties below
dateTimePicker1.Format = DateTimePickerFormat.Custom;
dateTimePicker1.CustomFormat = "dd-MMM-yyyy hh:mm:ss";

You're looking for DateTime Format strings. There's a great article on them on MSDN.
There's two types:
Standard DateTime Formats
Custom DateTime Formats
You can use these to construct the datetime to look how you want it to.
For your example, you would use :
DateTimePicker1.Value.ToString("dd-MMM-yyyy hh:mm:ss")

First, to alter how your DateTimePicker displays DateTimes:
DateTimePicker1.CustomFormat = "d-MMM-yyyy hh:mm:ss";
DateTimePicker1.Format = System.Windows.Forms.DateTimePickerFormat.Custom;
Your code:
theVisit.ArrivalTime = DateTimePicker1.Value;
Would not change, because the DateTimePicker1.Value isn't any different, it's just displayed according to your format.
If you want the control to display a specific time (not the current time), you have to give the control that value:
DateTimePicker1.Value = new DateTime(2012, 12, 21, 23, 59, 59);
Otherwise it will display the current time as of the form creation.

You may check datetimepicker like this to check if it is empty.
if(DatTimePicker1.Text.Equals(" "))
{
MessageBox.Show("DateTimePicker is empty");

Use DateTimerPicker.Format property. Check MSDN
public void SetMyCustomFormat()
{

dateTimePicker1.CustomFormat = "MM/yyyy";

You can use DateTimerPicker.Format property as following:
DateTimerPicker.Format = DateTimePickerFormat.Custom;
DateTimerPicker.CustomFormat = "MMMM yyyy";
DateTimerPicker.ShowUpDown = true;
Note: DateTimerPicker.ShowUpDown = true; is for making the calendar not visible

This will give you some more options to display date with diff formats.
DateTimerPicker.Format = DateTimePickerFormat.Custom;
DateTimerPicker.CustomFormat = "MM/yyyy"; // this line gives you only the month and year.
DateTimerPicker.ShowUpDown = true;
Below are the different formats to display date alone on the date time picker control of the Windows applciation C#
DateTimerPicker.CustomFormat = "MMMM yyyy";
The above code will display the full month name and year like "August 2018"
DateTimerPicker.CustomFormat = "MMMM yyyy";
The above code will display the full month name, date and year like "08 August 2018"
DateTimerPicker.CustomFormat = "dd MM yyyy";
This line will give the date in the specified format with out forward slash "08 08 2018"
DateTimerPicker.CustomFormat = "dd/MM/yyyy";
This line will give more specific format to the date "08/08/2018"
DateTimerPicker.CustomFormat = "dd/MMM/yyyy";
This line give date in the format of "08/Aug/2018"

This line worked for me
DateTimePicker1.Value.ToString("MMMM dd yyyy")
output: August 2019

C# DateTimePicker Custom Format

How do I set a DateTimePicker to out put dd/mm/yyyy.
At the moment it is giving me the day, date, month then year.

You need to set the property DateTimePicker.Format to DateTimePickerFormat.Custom and set your desired format in the DateTimePicker.CustomFormat property.
