Return Single result from mongo doc - c#

Hi I am trying to make a generic method to return a single value from the database
I am not sure where to put the return result, value is returned as a BSON document.I need 1 value from it....

I think you need oneDocument[key] and not oneDocument[value]. Just tested this code:

Get current iteration from TFS

I need to get current iteration's path from TFS project. I'm able to use REST API query <server>/<project>/_apis/work/teamsettings/iterations?$timeframe=current&api-version=v2.0-preview but I don't want to perform query and parse JSON response. I want to use appropriate API in .NET client libraries for VSTS (and TFS).
I have an instance of the VssConnection. How can I get the path of current iteration from this object?
You can get the current iteration using the WorkHttpClient without having to iterate:

The simplest way I've found to do it was by using ICommonStructureService4 and TeamSettingsConfigurationService methods:

IList<T> return as a generic

I'm a beginner for coding ,and I was trying to create a search engine , but there s a part I dont know how to solve it that returns an IList as a generic,

but in this code , I couldn't return result ,it says Cannot Implicitly convert type 'Data.DataTable' to 'Generic.IList',An explicit conversion exists.so how can I solve this?
I guess you don't want to support generics since it doesn't make sense and is impossible. You have a class, for example Film, then return a List<Film>, you don't need the DataTable:

Your return statement should be
result.AsEnumerable().ToList();
Don't forget to add namespace
using System.Linq;

Trouble Fetching Value in Variable

Basically here's my code which I'm having trouble with. Insanely new to mongoDB and would love to understand how to get values out of a JSON string that is returns in the variable 'line'.

I want to be able to fetch the value 'Hemin' into 'a'.
I know this is not what you're asking for but since you're using the c# driver then I would recommend the following. Assumes you have a c# class corresponding to metacorp collection or at least a serializer that handles it. Hope it helps.

Nested XML from list with needed data on multiple lines

I need to format an XML to a given hierarchy from a list (List<>). The list contains, for the banking information, data spread across multiple rows as shown in the image.
The XML output needs to be formatted like this:

I already have a method that converts a list to an XML and returns a string. But the problem is that this only formats one item from the list and there could be additional info in the following items.

How to read from MongoDB

I am trying to read a row from my MongoDB with the following code

But the documentRead is always null and i know the specifik _id exists in the database. What am i doing wrong?
It does connect to the database and the right table.
Seems to be a calling convention:
new QueryDocument( "_id", new ObjectId("4B414D000000011613CD") )
but this should work as well:
new BSONDocument { { "_id", "4B414D000000011613CD" } }
