I would like to set up something for logging that will capture any exception or such that my projects might run into that I haven't been able to anticipate with say a try{} catch{}.
The project I'm working on has too many possible places where something can happen, and I need to be able to capture those instances and write them out to a log that I can read and be made aware of problems.
I've seen references to log4net, but I'm not familiar enough with it to know if it can log any uncaught exceptions, or other errors.
Thank you.
Use ELMAH for logging your errors, follow this link as to implement it in winforms.

I am trying to create a piece of software than can manage your computer and clean some things up, and one of the things I am trying to incorporate is adblocking.
I have looked online multiple times for something like this, but haven't found anything. The most I amounted to is the webbrowser class.
If someone could help me discern how to change an html file using the webbrowser class, that would be greatly appreciated.

I have software that takes your request, And I want to control requests with the plugins.
Fore example console writes: Enter Request: and i write time
well, Now I want the software to check if any plugin supports this command and then turn back the time and more (day, mouth, list of plugins, ...).
I looked at other sources but could not implement the project.
I hope someone can help me. :) Thanks.
I think you can adapt this MS tutorial and get what you want.
https://docs.miosoft.com/en-us/dotnet/core/tutorials/creating-app-with-plugin-support
It shows how to load pluggins and execute. From what you are describing this is what you are looking.

I have to create a form for a task that is done by multiple people at the company I work for. Due to the circumstances, I have choosen Windows Forms and C# to make it. However, I'm not sure how I'm going to make the program available to my colleagues.
In Python, I use PyInstaller to create a .exe file and distribute my programs in a way that no one needs to install a Python interpreter to use it. Is there anything similar for C#?
Right click project and choose publish.
There’s a lot of tutorials about it.

I´m about to finish my apprenticeship soon and I must do a project. I want to write a logging-class/-dll for being used by other programs. I will use Xamarin for android (C#) because my company will use my dll in the future for their apps.
My dll should contain log levels, for example if the developer wants the full path of actions the user did, or only if an error occurs he wants go get the errordata. The dll should be able to track more than only the error/errormessage (->which leads us to the logging levels).
Does anyone have an idea how to get into this topic or has any testfiles for me?
There are already few open source logging frameworks available that work on Xamarin.Android, e.g https://serilog.net/
There is another logging framework called NLog (https://github.com/NLog/NLog/wiki/platform-support) You can refer these projects to build your own logging library

I am near release date for my Excel Add-In and I want to have only one limitation hardcoded in the code. My aim is for people to download and use the tool for free but have a limitation that potentially encourages them to buy the unlimited version. I know that there isn't a truly secure way to add that limitation but I was wondering what is the best way of achieving it. The limitation is simply a hardcoded value that I store in the Properties section of my app. Any ideas how I can make it a bit more secure?
