How do I define custom eventargs for an event? - c#

I would like to create custom Eventargs for a series of events. I am using a third party X/Y scope where I plot Strength vs frequency. This scope has the ability to place "Markers" on it which are just little triangles at various frequencies. These markers support events such as when the mouse enters the marker, a click is performed, and the mouse leaves the marker. So for two markers, here is the code:

Now this is fine for two markers....but I need 80 of them. I could just write the whole thing out but there has to be a better way. So I started like this:

So the question is how can I pass the actual marker number from the events to the event handlers?
There has got to be a way.

If you want to identify marker group you may cast object sender to a MarkerGroup object
private void AnyMarker_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)

OFF: You should define a custom EventArgs class:
public class MyEventArgs : EventArgs
{
public int MyCustomProperty {get;set;}
}
Then use it in your event:
public event EventHandler<MyEventArgs> ButtonPressed;
Fire event using custom args:
if(ButtonPressed != null)
{
ButtonPressed(this, new MyEventArgs { MyCustomProperty = 1 });
}

Setting a "mouseDown" bool using labels

I was trying to set up a system to check if the mouse is clicked in a winforms application and have ended up doing this

{
mouseDown = false;
}
eight times over (for each label).
Does anyone know if there's a more efficient way of doing this? I tried using

private void frmGame4_MouseUp(object sender, MouseEventArgs e)
{
mouseDown = false;
}
but that doesnt work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You could make two methods, one for mouse up and one for mouse down, like this:
private void labels_mouseDown(object sender, MouseEventArgs e)
{
mouseDown = true;
}
private void labels_mouseUp(object sender, MouseEventArgs e)
{
mouseDown = false;
}
Then, link all the labels to these methods. You can also do this from Code:
label.mouseDown += labels_mouseDown;
label.mouseUp += labels_mouseUp;
This has to be done somewhere under the InitializeComponent(); method. You still have to do this for every label but in the end it's less code.

Set an 'int' in one event and use it in another event

I'm making a little something in Windows Form (C# Visual Studio)
But I need to know how I can set an int and then to use it in another event. For example, :

The variable "yes" you are declaring is only visible in the scope of the method. By making it a field of class, this would make it visible to all methods in the class (when private).

EventHandler for all controls in form

In my code I want to perform some actions when some controls are focused. So instead of having one handler for each control i was wondering if there could be any way of adding all controls to the handler and inside the handler function perform the desired action.
I have this:

Creating a void for the event "SelectionChangeCommitted" for a ComboBox array

I got an array which contains 5 comboboxes. I want to create a void for the event "SelectionChangeCommitted" for the whole array which can determine which combobox the void was called from. Here is the current code which contains 5 voids. One for each one of the comboboxes.

How can I add (append) a word to the same sentence, using one button (click) per word

I greatly appreciate any help. I have 20+ buttons, each with a word, or a space or period. Each time I click on a button, the pre-existing word is wiped out and replaced with the new word. I need each word and/or space to remain in place until I click the "Clear" button.
Maybe this has been previously asked/answered under different search terms? I tend to believe I need to identify a string variable, but have no idea how to begin.

+= is equivalent to lbSentence.Text = lblSentenceText.Text + whatever.Text.
Basically, it appends or concatenates the right hand side string to the string on the left hand side. Hope it makes sense?

On the button click events, change it to += instead of = (except in the clear button). This is equivalent to writing something = something + newValue;.
Try:

The += operator means add to, and the variable modified is equal to the added (Int, String) appended to the original value (x = 1; x += 3; x is now 4)
