EO (Essentialobjects) new windows handler error - c#

I am using EO (Essentialobjects) WebBrowser elmulator,i makin login ,and then i have new windows popup,and i can't handle it.I am new with this EO dll ,and can't find any example of this.
Do any one know how to handle the popUp/Newwindow after i make event of click.
Here my code:
string loginPostUrl = "https://www.test.com";
EO.WebBrowser.BrowserOptions op = new EO.WebBrowser.BrowserOptions();
EO.WebBrowser.Request req = new EO.WebBrowser.Request(loginPostUrl);
webView1.LoadRequestAndWait(req);
webView1.EvalScript("document.getElementById('User').value='test'");
webView1.EvalScript("document.getElementById('Pwd1').value='xxx'");
webView1.EvalScript("document.getElementById('User').onclick();");
//after click i get error That says i need to handle NewWindows event
//Itried this but not working
EO.WebBrowser.DOM.Document doc = webView1.GetDOMWindow().document;
EO.WebBrowser.NewWindowHandler handler = new
NewWindowHandler(WebView_NewWindow);
public void WebView_NewWindow(object sender, NewWindowEventArgs e)
{
}

Not sure about this but here's guess....
string info = webView1.EvalScript(#"document.getElementById('User').onclick = (function(event) {return document.getElementById('User').value + '&' + document.getElementById('Pwd1').value});");
might get you a string like > "user&Pwd1" wich you can split.
string[] array = info.split('&');
string user = array[0];
string pasw = array[1];

How to get token from facebook login [UWP]

I have an app that open a webview and let users sign in.
I'm trying to get the access token from the baseUrl but the access token disappeared after view moments in the link access_token= and show me another page have a not secure connection so I can't take it ...
here's my code
DataPackage dataPackage = new DataPackage();
string r3 = page.Source.AbsoluteUri;
string ntoken = r3.Substring(r3.IndexOf("access_token") + 13);
string token = ntoken.Substring(0, ntoken.IndexOf("&"));
anyone can help me !
You can create a LoadComplete event and after that you can check every time if the link have the access token and if is there then hit your code by this way you can take the access token and close the webview before the other page start
private void webview_LoadCompleted(object sender, NavigationEventArgs e)
{
if (page.Source.AbsoluteUri.Contains("access_token"))
{
DataPackage dataPackage = new DataPackage();
string r3 = page.Source.AbsoluteUri;
string ntoken = r3.Substring(r3.IndexOf("access_token") + 13);
string token = ntoken.Substring(0, ntoken.IndexOf("&"));
web.Visibility = Visibility.Collapsed;
}
}

Rally C#: Is it possible to create a new user story along with an attachment? (Avoiding to query for the user-story reference)

Please be patient I have already gone through the example from: How to Add an Attachment to a User Story using Rally REST .NET
However the sample code requires a query to identify the newest user story reference. The sample illustrates how to add an attachment to an existing user story. I would like to accomplish: Creating a new user story along with an attachment.
Here is my method.
public void createUsWithAttachment(string workspace, string project,
string userStoryName, string userStoryDescription){
//Authenticate with Rally
this.EnsureRallyIsAuthenticated();
//UserStory Setup
DynamicJsonObject toCreate = new DynamicJsonObject();
toCreate[RallyField.workSpace] = workspace;
toCreate[RallyField.project] = project;
toCreate[RallyField.name] = userStoryName;
toCreate[RallyField.description] = userStoryDescription;
//get the image reference - assume that this is where the image lives after being downloaded from Outlook
String imageFilePath = "C:\\Users\\secret\\...";
String imageFileName = "file.png";
String fullImageFile = imageFilePath + imageFileName;
Image myImage = Image.FromFile(fullImageFile);
// Convert Image to Base64 format
string imageBase64String = imageToBase64(myImage, System.Drawing.Imaging.ImageFormat.Png);
// Length calculated from Base64String converted back
var imageNumberBytes = Convert.FromBase64String(imageBase64String).Length;
// DynamicJSONObject for AttachmentContent
DynamicJsonObject myAttachmentContent = new DynamicJsonObject();
myAttachmentContent["Content"] = imageBase64String;
try
{
//create user story
CreateResult createUserStory = _api.Create(RallyField.hierarchicalRequirement, toCreate);
//create attachment
CreateResult myAttachmentContentCreateResult = _api.Create("AttachmentContent", myAttachmentContent);
String myAttachmentContentRef = myAttachmentContentCreateResult.Reference;
Console.WriteLine("Created: " + myAttachmentContentRef);
// DynamicJSONObject for Attachment Container
DynamicJsonObject myAttachment = new DynamicJsonObject();
//Note the below commented line
/*myAttachment["Artifact"] = ;*/
myAttachment["Content"] = myAttachmentContentRef;
myAttachment["Name"] = "AttachmentFromREST.png";
myAttachment["Description"] = "Attachment Desc";
myAttachment["ContentType"] = "image/png";
myAttachment["Size"] = imageNumberBytes;
//create attachment
CreateResult myAttachmentCreateResult = _api.Create("Attachment", myAttachment);
}
catch (WebException e)
{
Console.WriteLine(e.Message);
}
}
In the above commented line I need to get a reference to the created user story which I can do, but that would require another method to fetch the user story which I have.
However I am wondering if this can be accomplished a different way similar to how we can create a user story with the dynamicJsonObject staging.
I was thinking something like this would work, but I am having a tough time.
DynamicJsonObject toCreate = new DynamicJsonObject();
toCreate[RallyField.workSpace] = workspace;
toCreate[RallyField.project] = project;
toCreate[RallyField.name] = userStoryName;
toCreate[RallyField.description] = userStoryDescription;
toCreate["Content"] = imageToBase64;
CreateResult createUserStory = _api.Create(RallyField.hierarchicalRequirement, toCreate);
My above assumption is not going as planned and I was wondering if there is a way to create a new user story with an attachment, without having to query for the userstory reference as neatly illustrated in the example from the link provided.
Thanks and credit to the author from the example in the link.
You should already have what you need to associate it from the create result:
myAttachment["Artifact"] = createUserStory.Reference;

Variable scoping c#

I am fairly new to c# and am getting an error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." I am creating an XML packet and sending it to an external device for control. If I put the following code on the form in a click event it works beautifully.
On the btn Click event it looks like this:
SetTestInfoResponse testDataDs = null;
TestInformation testInfo = null;
this.PopulateTestDataXml();
string stringRequestXML = string.Empty;
string stringResponseXML = string.Empty;
//Creates Request packet
stringRequestXML = XMLCommunicationPackets.SetTestInformation (testInfo, testInfo.TestID, testInfo.TestUser, testInfo.TestSampleType, testInfo.TestSampleId, testInfo.TestMethodNumber, testInfo.TestTubeSn, testInfo.TestComments);
//Write set Test Info XML Packet and get response for ack or failure.
stringResponseXML = PluginContext.GetInstance().InstrumentDriverCurrent.GetInstrumentControl().SetCommonParameter(stringRequestXML);
However, If I move my entire function out of the form and try to call it when clicking a button I get the error.
written in a method off the form in a .cs file it reads:
public static SetTestInfoResponse SetTestData()
{
SetTestInfoResponse testDataDs = null;
TestInformation testInfo = null;
string stringRequestXML = string.Empty;
string stringResponseXML = string.Empty;
//Creates Request packet
stringRequestXML = XMLCommunicationPackets.SetTestInformation (testInfo, testInfo.TestID, testInfo.TestUser, testInfo.TestSampleType, testInfo.TestSampleId, testInfo.TestMethodNumber, testInfo.TestTubeSn, testInfo.TestComments);
//Write set Test Info XML Packet and get response for ack or failure.
stringResponseXML = PluginContext.GetInstance().InstrumentDriverCurrent.GetInstrumentControl().SetCommonParameter(stringRequestXML);
The error occurs when building stringRequestXml.
Part of my problem is the PopulateTestData() is a method on the form itself. Its purpose is to take data from txtboxes and cmbboxes and assign them to their respective arguments..
private TestInformation PopulateTestDataXml()
{
TestInformation UiTestData = new TestInformation();
UiTestData.TestID = txtTestId.Text;
UiTestData.TestUser = cmbUsers.SelectedItem.ToString();
UiTestData.TestSampleType = txtSampleType.Text;
UiTestData.TestSampleId = txtSampleId.Text;
UiTestData.TestMethodNumber = Convert.ToInt32(cmbMethod.SelectedItem);
UiTestData.TestTubeSn = txtTubeSerialNum.Text;
UiTestData.TestComments = txtComments.Text;
return UiTestData;
}
Here is the SetTestInformation() method where I am getting the error:
public static string SetTestInformation(TestInformation testInfo, string stringTestId, string stringUser, string stringSampleType, string stringSampleId, int intMethodNumber, string stringTubeSn, string stringComments)
{
try
{
string stringRequestXMLPacket = string.Empty;
string stringType = #"Request";
string stringCommand = #"Set";
string stringArgument = #"TestInformation";
CommunicationPacket requestXMLPacket = new CommunicationPacket(stringRootTag, stringXMLVersion, stringType, stringCommand);
requestXMLPacket.AddCommandArgument(stringArgument);
requestXMLPacket.AddArgumentItem(stringArgument, "sTestId", testInfo.TestID.ToString());
requestXMLPacket.AddArgumentItem(stringArgument, "sUser", testInfo.TestUser.ToString());
requestXMLPacket.AddArgumentItem(stringArgument, "sSampleType", testInfo.TestSampleType.ToString());
requestXMLPacket.AddArgumentItem(stringArgument, "sSampleId", testInfo.TestSampleId.ToString());
requestXMLPacket.AddArgumentItem(stringArgument, "nMethodNumber", testInfo.TestMethodNumber.ToString());
requestXMLPacket.AddArgumentItem(stringArgument, "sTubeSn", testInfo.TestTubeSn.ToString());
requestXMLPacket.AddArgumentItem(stringArgument, "sComments", testInfo.TestComments.ToString());
stringRequestXMLPacket = requestXMLPacket.CreateXMLPacket();
return stringRequestXMLPacket;
}
catch (Exception ex)
{
throw ex;
}
}
Iknow I am having trouble with the variable scope here. I still have to use the method PopulateTestDataXml on the form before I call the setTestData() method. But when I call the Method I have to declare testInfo = null or the parameters for SetTestInformation are not valid ("Does not exist in the current context"). What would I need to pass and how for this to work as a called method on the form btn click? I need to do this as I have alot of deserializing functions written as well to catch error messages in the response xml (these all work fine) and its just too much info on the click event. (And I need to learn).
Thanks
Neither of your examples should work (regardless of where you put them). This is simply incorrect:
TestInformation testInfo = null;
// ...
stringRequestXML = XMLCommunicationPackets.SetTestInformation (testInfo,
testInfo.TestID, ...);
// ^^ BANG!
Your testInfo object is null. When you try and access anything on a null object.. a NullReferenceException is thrown. You need to initialize it first. You're trying to do that in your PopulateTestDataXml method.. which returns the object your after. So change your code to this:
TestInformation testInfo = PopulateTestDataXml(); // assign it
Here is your problem..
public static SetTestInfoResponse SetTestData()
{
SetTestInfoResponse testDataDs = null;
TestInformation testInfo = null;
string stringRequestXML = string.Empty;
string stringResponseXML = string.Empty;
//Creates Request packet
stringRequestXML = XMLCommunicationPackets.SetTestInformation (testInfo, testInfo.TestID, testInfo.TestUser, testInfo.TestSampleType, testInfo.TestSampleId, testInfo.TestMethodNumber, testInfo.TestTubeSn, testInfo.TestComments);
//Write set Test Info XML Packet and get response for ack or failure.
stringResponseXML = PluginContext.GetInstance().InstrumentDriverCurrent.GetInstrumentControl().SetCommonParameter(stringRequestXML);
Are you assigning values for these objects I see they are just declared but never assigned.
SetTestInfoResponse testDataDs = null;
TestInformation testInfo = null;
i don't see you use null objects, so i'm wonder if you set them later, also u said the error happen on
private TestInformation PopulateTestDataXml()
{
TestInformation UiTestData = new TestInformation();
UiTestData.TestID = txtTestId.Text;
UiTestData.TestUser = cmbUsers.SelectedItem.ToString();
UiTestData.TestSampleType = txtSampleType.Text;
UiTestData.TestSampleId = txtSampleId.Text;
UiTestData.TestMethodNumber = Convert.ToInt32(cmbMethod.SelectedItem);
UiTestData.TestTubeSn = txtTubeSerialNum.Text;
UiTestData.TestComments = txtComments.Text;
return UiTestData;
}
after moving it out of your form, which mean possibly it's text box references is broken...
so what you can do, is store a pointer, like in your program.cs where you call your form to show up,
you can create an static object of form, and then put it in your class, then set it in program.cs file like :
Form1 f=new Form();
MyClass.staticFormPointer = f;
and also replace (new Form()), with (f) on the calling method,
your my class is like this:
class MyClass{
public static Form1 staticFormPointer = null;
//your code
.
.
.
// and in your methods you call it like this txtBox1.Text -> staticFormPointer.txtBox1.Text
}

WP7 passing multiple pieces of data between pages

In my app I am building my own media player. When a user selects a song to play want to be able to pass the link to the sample media and the metadata associated with it (Artist, Track, Album Art, etc.) The part I'm stuck on is how to group all the data and pass it to the media player page. Here's what i have so far.
Determine what item was selected and add data to query string.
UPDATED
public void musicSampleSelectedHandler(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e)
{
Track selected = (sender as Image).DataContext as Track;
ListBoxItem pressedItem = this.listReleaseMain.ItemContainerGenerator.ContainerFromItem(selected) as ListBoxItem;
if (pressedItem != null)
{
string _rT = selected.title;
string _rN = selected.release.name;
//string _rA = selected.artists; ????
string _rI = selected.images.large.url;
string _rS = selected.sampleUrl;
this.NavigationService.Navigate(new Uri("/Pages/MediaPage.xaml?releaseName=" + _rN + "&releaseTrack=" + _rT + "&releaseImage=" + _rI
+ "&releaseSample=" + _rS, UriKind.Relative));
}
}
OnNavigatedTo method to pull data out of the query string
protected override void OnNavigatedTo(System.Windows.Navigation.NavigationEventArgs e)
{
base.OnNavigatedTo(e);
string releaseName = String.Empty;
string releaseImg = String.Empty;
string releaseUrl = String.Empty;
if (NavigationContext.QueryString.TryGetValue("releaseUrl", out releaseUrl))
{
sampleMedia.Source = new Uri(releaseUrl, UriKind.Absolute);
}
}
I'm not sure if I can use the query sting to pass multiple pieces to the media player, or if I to do something different to pass the data to the other page. All of my data comes from the web using a webclient. Thanks for the help.
QueryString is just a Dictionary of the parameters passed in via the Uri. The Uri uses the standard syntax of passing in parameters delimited by &. So in your example, if you had something like:
this.NavigationService.Navigate(new Uri("/Pages/MediaPage.xaml?releaseUrl=" + releaseUrl + "&releaseImg=" + releaseImg , UriKind.Relative));
then you can then parse this out using something like:
if (NavigationContext.QueryString.TryGetValue("releaseUrl", out releaseUrl))
{
sampleMedia.Source = new Uri(releaseUrl, UriKind.Absolute);
}
if (NavigationContext.QueryString.TryGetValue("releaseImg", out releaseImg))
{
// do something with releaseImg
}

Publishing stream appears with no images - Facebook

I am building a small facebook application using the Facebook developer toolkit 3.0 in c#. I had this piece of code that used to work a week ago. From some reason, when I try publishing my feed it appears without an image and without a Flash movie. Here is my code:
string userName = FacebookAPI.Users.GetInfo().name;
string message = "";
attachment attach = new attachment();
attach.href = string.Format(#"http://apps.facebook.com/{0}/?uId={1}&uName={2}", Consts.APP_NAME, ViewerUserId, userName);
attachment_media_flash flash = new attachment_media_flash();
flash.type = attachment_media_type.flash;
flash.expanded_width = 320;
flash.expanded_height = 260;
flash.height = 100;
flash.width = 130;
message = "";
attach.name = ""
attach.caption = "this works";
attach.description = ""
flash.imgsrc = string.Format(#"{0}/flash/Pinguin.JPG", Consts.DOMAIN_NAME);
flash.swfsrc = string.Format(#"{0}/flash/pinguin.swf", Consts.DOMAIN_NAME);
List<attachment_media> attach_media_list = new List<attachment_media>();
attach_media_list.Add(flash);
attach.media = attach_media_list;
/* action links */
List<action_link> actionlink = new List<action_link>();
action_link al1 = new action_link();
al1.href = string.Format(#"http://apps.facebook.com/{0}", Consts.APP_NAME);
al1.text = "myApp";
actionlink.Add(al1);
FacebookAPI.Stream.Publish(message, attach, actionlink, null , Convert.ToInt64 (ViewerUserId));
Make sure that:
1: The URL you pass is not the one that of the FB app, like http://apps.fb.co/whatever/image.jpg;
it should be your domain URL, like http://www.example.com/images/myimage.jpg.
2: You need to pass the full URL of the image including the protocol (http:// / https://), like this:
http://www.example.com/images/myimage.jpg
The following is wrong:
www.example.com/images/myimage.jpg
