Can't make new project in Visual Studio 2012 - c#

Yesterday I installed Visual Studio 2012 Express for Web on Windows 7 Home Premium. When I launched it and trying to set up new project, I wasn't able to do it, because no .Net framework was seen in New Project window. I got message "No framework is selected, you must select one before creating a project". Then I reinstalled twice Visual, but it didn't solve my problem. I also tried to install .Net 4.0 manually, but I got messsage that newer version is already installed, which means that .NET 4.5 framework was installed on my computer during Visual's installation. Is there any possible solution to my issue, beside reinstalling Windows? I would be very grateful for help.

Smart Device development for Visual Studio 2017

I am currently assigned to migrate an existing Smart Device application built using visual studio 2005. I tried to migrate the application to Visual Studio 2017 without changing the framework and settings. I have already spent some time doing some research but no luck so far.
This is the error I'm encountering:
Any leads or advice is appreciated.
I guess you are talking Windows Mobile 6.x projects. Unfortunately,
support for mobile application development for versions of Windows Phone prior to Windows Phone 7.0
has been dropped with Visual Studio 2010.
The last version that supported this application type is Visual Studio 2008. Usually, you can install different versions of Visual Studio without problems. Nonetheless, this is a very old version and it might be worth to keep it on a separate machine.
You are stuck with Visual Studio 2005 or use VS2008. That's it.

Visual Studio Express .net framework 4.5.2

What I'm trying to make is an application with browser window in it. I'm trying to make it with CefSharp. This link says it is ok to do it in Visual Studio Express.
And I can't find how to do this point: Please be sure to set the minimum .Net version for the project to be at least .Net 4.5.2.
I have installed developer pack 4.6.1 from here. But I still get an error CefSharp requires .NET 4.5.2 or higher.
I have found, that it can be done when you create a project, but seems like that works only for Visual studio (not express). I have found, that express has it in properties - application tab. But I don't have such tab there, I have just startup project, project dependencies, debug source files and configuration. How can I do this?
This is solved, community edition helped.

Visual Studio - cannot run any projects: application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142)

Windows 10 x64
Visual Studio 2012 x32
.NET Framework 3.5 and 4.6
I cannot run/debug/F5 any projects in Visual Studio. I have tried nopCommerce, BlogEngineDotNet, File->New Website, etc. First I was getting an error about .NET 4.5 and .NET 4.0 not being registered, but I installed the fix from Microsoft (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3002339) which resolved that issue.
Now, everytime I try to F5 I get the error below.
I've searched until I was ready to beat my head against the desk. I found a lot of posts from a few years ago saying to use dependency walker to see if any pre reqs fail, but dependency walker says its only good up to Windows 8.
I ran into this issue after I switched the "Default terminal application" to Windows Terminal. I had to restart Visual Studio and then it worked again but using Windows Terminal caused other issues so I had to revert and restart VS again.
As #Trout.Z mentioned, you may also want to enable the Automatically close the console when debugging stops option in Visual Studio. You can find it in the options under Debugging > General.
uninstall Visual Studio 2012 x32 and install new Visual Studio 2012 x64 because your os is 64 bit
above code helps you to make it working.

VS 2012 project load error, incompatible .Net version

I'm getting an error when I try to load a project in VS 2012. This project was created on the same machine and it was working fine but now it has started to complain about project target framework.
From the error message I don't understand the difference between .NETFramework,Version=v4.5 and change target to .Net Framework 4.5
When I choose to download and install .NETFramework,Version=v4.5, the installer says this version is already part of OS and need not be installed separately.
I'm working on VS 2012 on Windows 8 64 bit OS.
Any pointers will be helpful, Thanks

Visual Studio 2010 going crazy with silverlight projects

I tried to create a new Silverlight project in Visual Studio 2010 (Ultimate version) for the first time.
It told me I got to install the latest version of Silverlight, before creating any.
You need to install the latest silverlight developer runtime before creating a silverlight project
I clicked the link on the message, download and install whatever was there.
Then when I tried to create a new project, it told me I got to install "Silverlight 3 sdk".
I removed the new version, and installed Silverlight 3 sdk.
Then again, when I tried to create a new project I recived the error stating I must install the latest version.
It went like this a bit more, then after searching on the internet, I removed everything from my computer with "Silverlight" in it's name, installed Visual Studio SP 1, reinstalled Silverlight 5 (this time I paid attention to install x64 version, since it turns out that in the error message Microsoft supplied a link to x86 version, no matter what OS you are running).
I managed to create a new project, and everything was fine.
Then I downloaded some Silverlight.FX samples (probably for version 3).
They weren't open properly (which was a downer by itself), and then I recieved again a message tells me I must istall the newest version.
I closed Visual Studio, tried to create a new project, and got again the same message.
It seems the problem reappeared just because I opened an old project.
Does it make sense? Why my Visual Studio is so unstable? What should I do?
Your silverlight plugin version, silverlight sdk and silverlight developer tools version should be same version. Please check this.
