c# windows phone 8.1 change default controls color

in my wp app I would like to have all the controls' color black; for textblocks and textboxes I just declared a style in my dictionary like this:

I also have some time picker controls and a checkbox in which I couldn't modify the color of the header and the box respectively. This is what I did:

In this way,the text "Day off?" that is the content of checkbox is black, but the box is still white.
Same for the Header of time pickers. Do I have to change the default color of the app's text? How can I do that?

You can edit any control style by editing the default style of the control. In the case of the CheckBox it is the following:

To change the color to black you need to change for example the Fill property on the CheckGlyph Path element from CheckBoxForegroundThemeBrush to another value. Or you can completely change the visual appearance of the CheckBox control. You can experiment for yourself.

So the solution for the TimePicker header color would be to create a new TimePicker style, and set the Foreground of the HeaderContentPresenter element, or you could just change the HeaderTemplate of the TimePicker without creating a new style:

editable Combobox text color not working corretly

I created a Combobox ControlTemplate for my application.
As a foundation I used the default template from the MS-Page.
I had only one problem with this template, it did not change the textcolor if the Combobox accepts inputs. To fix this, I added

So: What do I need to change so that the text returns to the color I gave it before the deactivation?

First, I recommend that you do not attempt to customize the colors. This helps ensure a level of visual alignment with your app and the rest of the ecosystem. So, you might tweak the look and feel by changing the theme like this:

Set style on ComboBoxItem from template for ComboBox

I am doing a template for some ComboBox controls in WPF. But I want to also style the ComboBoxItems from within this template. I've only found how to apply a Style from where the control is created, but not from within the template of the ComboBox.
The template I am working with is taken from here:

But the ComboBoxItem style (found at the bottom) there is applied to ALL ComboBoxItems (due to x:Key="{x:Type ComboBoxItem}".

You should swap the style definition of the msdn sample

The attribute value of x:Key can be any string defined in the XamlName
Grammar or can be an object evaluated through a markup extension.
The way the style is defined in msdn sample illustrates how to override the default style for comboboxes, to explicitly specify a style use a string instead of the markup extension to specify the style in ComboBox Resources.

The same should be done for ComboBoxItems style so swap the code

Can't find resource dictionary WPF

I have my ResourceDictionary.xaml file in my Project. It's binded in App.xaml. Everything works fine, until I add this Microsoft's Combobox template: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms752094.aspx
It can't find my ResourceDictionary file and throws Exception:
Unable to find the specified file. at Microsoft.Windows.Design.Platform.ViewProducerBase.Microsoft.Expression.DesignModel.DocumentModel.IDocumentRootResolver.GetDocumentRoot(String path)
at Microsoft.Expression.Platform.WPF.InstanceBuilders.ResourceDictionaryInstanceBuilder.ProvideResourceDictionary(IInstanceBuilderContext context, DocumentCompositeNode resourceDictionaryReferenceNode, IDocumentRoot& relatedRoot)

Are you sure you've added the template properly? A missing end tag or something may be causing problems. Try commenting out large chunks of the template until you can find the minimum that will work.
