Visual Studio Release build short-circuit bug - c#

Debug build works fine, Release build throws a NullReferenceException for the following code:
MetadataObjectCollection<ExplorerAddress> storedExplorerAddressesCollection = null;
bool test = this.storedExplorerAddressesCollectionReference == null;
if ((test) || !this.storedExplorerAddressesCollectionReference.TryGetTarget(out storedExplorerAddressesCollection))
Is there some new broken optimization for release builds or something? This is pretty bad so I can't imagine its a bug with visual studio but I also can't see how anything I did could have made this break.

Problem with Launching C# WPF Application from C++ using CLI's ExecuteInDefaultAppDomain Method

I am making DLL Injector and I am stuck in launching C#'s WPF Application from C++ code using the means described here: https://www.codeproject.com/Articles/416471/CLR-Hosting-Customizing-the-CLR
This is my C++ code:
#include <iostream>
#include <Windows.h>
#include <metahost.h>
#include <mscoree.h>
#pragma comment(lib, "mscoree.lib")
int main()
{
HRESULT hr;
ICLRMetaHost *pMetaHost = NULL;
ICLRRuntimeInfo *pRuntimeInfo = NULL;
ICLRRuntimeHost *pClrRuntimeHost = NULL;
// build runtime
hr = CLRCreateInstance(CLSID_CLRMetaHost, IID_PPV_ARGS(&pMetaHost));
hr = pMetaHost->GetRuntime(L"v4.0.30319", IID_PPV_ARGS(&pRuntimeInfo));
hr = pRuntimeInfo->GetInterface(CLSID_CLRRuntimeHost,
IID_PPV_ARGS(&pClrRuntimeHost));
// start runtime
hr = pClrRuntimeHost->Start();
// .NET runtime is now loaded
//MessageBoxA(0, "DLL has been attached !", "DLL Bot", MB_ICONEXCLAMATION | MB_OK);
// execute managed assembly
DWORD returnValue = 0;
// Executing public static Start(string arg)
hr = pClrRuntimeHost->ExecuteInDefaultAppDomain(L"GUI.exe", L"GUI.Loader", L"Load", L"", &returnValue);
std::cout << "Press enter to end..." << std::endl;
std::getchar();
hr = pClrRuntimeHost->Stop();
}
and here is the C# entry point for WPF application:
using System.Threading;
namespace GUI
{
class Loader
{
static Thread thread;
static int Load(string args)
{
thread = new Thread(App.Main);
thread.SetApartmentState(ApartmentState.STA);
thread.Start();
return 1;
}
}
}
I get this error :(

Any ideas what might be wrong? The StartupUri="UI/MainWindow.xaml" in App.xaml is correct and I don't know what is wrong.

Observablecollection Index was outside the bounds of the array

I am sporadically getting this error in my application.
As it seems by stack it occurs in CollectionView outside of my code and crashes the process.
I wondered if anyone experienced this and can guide me to the cause of exception.

C# NullReferenceException, but I don't know what's causing it

I get a NullRefrenceException once in a while (it happens maybe one out of ten times) when I drop an object on a RadChart (from the Telerik-components).
Now I'd like to know which object is causing the Exception, but I don't really understand which one it is from just looking at the StackTrace.

Nothing in your StackTrace shows the Telerik RadControl.
Looking att the top of the stacktrace it seems that you try to show an element that is not yet created.

WebClient error when using a thread in .NET

I'm having a very weird error using the WebClient class in .NET 4.
The app simply downloads some files off the internet and provides output on a textbox (the GUI is WPF). The method that does this is the following:
void DownloadFiles(object files) {
var fileL = (List<string>) files;
foreach (string url in fileL)
{
byte[] data;
using (var k = new WebClient())
{
data = k.DownloadData(url);
}
//Bunch of irrelevant code goes here...
}
}
(I added the using while trying to divine [yes I'm that desperate/ignorant] a solution, the problem happens even if the webclient is declared and initialized outside the foreach loop)
Now the problem appears only when I'm executing this method on a thread separate from the WPF UI main thread. If it is executed on the UI thread then it works perfectly. When a new thread is created with:
Thread t = new Thread(DownloadFiles);
t.Start(files);
The first time the code goes into the loop it will work, but when its the second pass inside the loop, I will always receive a TargetParameterCountException.
I can't make any sense of this error. Any help is very much appreciated.

I know there is a bug in WebClient where it always puts the call on the UI thread. Not sure if this is causing the issues.
